Project Management Certification
To become a PMP you need to be certified and to be certified you would be required to pass the PMP exams which will test your knowledge in the areas listed above. The exam comprises of 200 multiple choice questions but the candidate is not scored on 25 of the questions which are test questions used to assess the difficulty level of the exam and regulate the questions based on the average performance of these questions. Preparation for Project Management Certification

Eligibility Status: Not everyone is eligible to write this exam that is why the first thing one would need to check is if they are eligible to write this exam. To be eligible one is expected to have at least a high school diploma or an equivalent with 60 months worth of experience in the Project Management field. A candidate can also be eligible if they have a Bachelor's degree with 36 months of experience in Project Management experience. For either case the candidate is also required to have had no fewer than 35 hours of contact education in Project Management.
How to apply: Application for the exam takes place at the project management institute's website. This is the institute that offers the exams. They are also in charge of verifying that the candidate meets the eligibility criteria by checking the above mentioned eligibility conditions.
Familiarity with Computer-based test: One has to familiarise themselves with the computer-based test because this is one of the ways that the PMP test is delivered at Prometric centres. There are also non-Prometric centres but the advantage of taking the computer-based test is that you get your result immediately upon conclusion.
